What You’ll Do
Payroll & HR Systems
Maintain HR and payroll system records; update employee data and generate reports.
Process weekly payroll for Petoskey and serve as backup for additional locations.
Manage garnishments, child support, liens, levies, and other deductions.
Oversee unemployment and workers’ compensation data and reporting.
Administer payroll deductions (HSA, 401k, reimbursements, allowances, etc.).
Conduct regular 401(k) audits and support annual plan audits with external partners.
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
Support the development and execution of recruiting strategies.
Partner closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.
Coordinate interviews, screen candidates, and assist with job offers.
Manage job postings across platforms and maintain candidate pipelines.
Build relationships with community partners, schools, and training programs.
Attend job fairs and hiring events.
Maintain recruiting documentation, metrics, and compliance.
Assist with job descriptions, interview guides, and hiring best practices.
Onboarding & Team Member Experience
Welcome and onboard new hires to ensure a smooth transition.
Support managers with new hire check-ins and early success milestones.
Assist with training and development initiatives.
HR Administration & Compliance
Serve as a trusted resource for team members and leaders.
Assist with benefits administration and HR communications.
Support performance management and employee engagement activities.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Travel to various locations as needed.
Take on additional HR projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
3–4 years of HR, recruiting, or related experience (manufacturing experience is a plus).
Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and social platforms.
Experience with The Predictive Index is a bonus.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus—or a willingness to learn.
