We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive HR Generalist with expertise in payroll and benefits administration to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate payroll processing, managing employee benefits programs, and supporting overall HR operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a passion for employee engagement, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Process and manage semi-monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain payroll records and resolve discrepancies or issues promptly.
Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure proper payroll reporting and reconciliation.
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, leave policies, and wellness initiatives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and provide guidance on enrollment, changes, and claims.
Reconcile monthly benefit bills for payment.
Coordinate annual benefits open enrollment and communicate updates to employees.
Partner with the benefits broker and other benefits providers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues.
Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork and orientation to include scheduling monthly executive immersion meetings for all new hires.
Assist with offboarding processes, including paperwork and scheduling exit interviews.
Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
Provide input and suggestions on HR policies and procedures.
Support HR compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to employment laws and regulations.
Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including payroll and benefits regulations.
Prepare and submit required reports, such as benefits audits and compliance documentation.
Monitor changes in labor laws and recommend updates to policies and practices, as needed.
Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on payroll and benefits administration.
Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycor, or similar) and benefits platforms.
Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, ACA, and COBRA.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees.
Experience in managing payroll and benefits for multi-state teams.
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Exceptional attention to detail.
Salary range:
The salary range of this position is $100,000 - $125,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
