Description
We are seeking an HR Generalist I to join our team in Lake City, PA. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys being hands-on with both employees and leadership. You will play a key role in supporting employee relations, ensuring compliance, and driving HR initiatives across the facility.
What You'll Do
- Support and manage employee relations matters including attendance, discipline, and workplace concerns
- Conduct and assist with workplace investigations, including documentation and reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, etc.)
- Partner with supervisors on performance management, corrective actions, and documentation
- Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and frontline leadership
- Support onboarding, orientation, and employee lifecycle processes
- Assist with payroll coordination, timekeeping issues, and HRIS data entry
- Maintain accurate personnel files and HR documentation
- Help implement HR policies and support training initiatives
- Collaborate with plant leadership while escalating complex HR matters as needed
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience handling employee relations and investigations
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Preferred:
- Experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (Paycor or similar)
